- Think about the presentation beforehand. Its boring and disappointed the event and your audience if you only think about what you're going to say the day before . If necessary, clarify with the organizers exactly what is required of you and what facilities you will require
- Be very clear about how much time you have. and stick to that time in preparing your presentation. It's very difficult to cut a presentation at the event, so it's a great mistake to run out of time. Most presenters prepare too much material; but nobody ever complains that a presentation was too short.
- Make appropriate use of pictures. It's a good idea to break up text with illustrations, and it is true that a picture is really worth a thousand words.
- The last slide should set out all appropriate contact details: e-mail address , the web site of your organization and any personal website, blog or facebook.
- Use colors to empathize. a only black and white presentation is going to be BORING
- Make and eye contact. always look your audience, don't look to the front.
- Be ready to skip slides if the time is short. don't waste your time.
- PRACTICE!!!!
- Use 1 minute to talk about "What i do" i say again, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!
- Focus on a clear goal or a message. do not leave your audience with questions
- Do a copy of your work. don't trust in the energy or your computer, its no a safety area.
